Official Galactic Record β€’ Sector 6-7

JACOB

Human. Part-time cheese enthusiast. Full-time god of No Man's Sky.

His aim is not measured in degrees. It is measured in units β€” and it is always exactly 6-7 units too good for the competition. Unmatched by any other human. Possibly unmatched by humans in general, past or future.

NASA rating: 6-7/10 (they were being modest) Cheese consumption: CLASSIFIED Sentinel fear level: MAXIMUM

Exhibit A: The Stare of Sector 6-7

Jacob, mid-stare, mentally calculating warp trajectories across the void
CASE FILE 6-7-A // EYEWITNESS ANALYSIS
OBSERVATION 01Photographed against a beige wall, under lighting so mild it makes a Gek's bioluminescence look like a lighthouse. Jacob is seen here doing what only gods do between warp jumps: absolutely nothing, with full commitment.
OBSERVATION 02His eyes are locked at approximately 6-7 degrees off-camera. Neurologists have confirmed this is the exact angle at which he pre-calculates flight paths for space whales he has never met and will not meet for another 6-7 galaxies.
OBSERVATION 03The hair: a full corona of curls, defying gravity with the same casual disrespect his ship shows physics. Each curl was individually audited by the Curator. All clear. None are antennas. (They are.)
OBSERVATION 04The black t-shirt is not a shirt. It is a stealth suit. The Sentinels have spent 6-7 years trying to decode the fabric and have only managed to decode the word "cheese," which was never on it.
OBSERVATION 05His mouth is closed. In Jacobian, this means one of two things: he is about to say something profound, or he is about to eat cheese. The odds are 6-7 in favor of cheese.

Exhibit B: The Altar of Hyperspace (a.k.a. the living room)

Jacob at the altar, No Man's Sky glowing on the TV above the fireplace, code compiling on the second brain to the right
CASE FILE 6-7-B // THEATER OF OPERATIONS
OBSERVATION 01The screen is mounted above the fireplace, because in this house heat comes from two sources: combustion, and the friction of Jacob's aim correcting mid-shot.
OBSERVATION 02Two sconce lights flank the TV like court jesters with a lighting budget. The X-shaped shadows on the wall are not an accident β€” they form the constellation "Jacob, But Cooler," which astronomers have since been forced to rename.
OBSERVATION 03On screen: No Man's Sky, frozen in the exact frame where the cockpit glows red. Translation: Jacob just did something that would make the Curator file a complaint. Six-to-seven enemies were deleted from existence in the previous frame. The game has not recovered.
OBSERVATION 04To the right sits the Second Brain: a monitor displaying code at an hour when normal humans are asleep. While his thumbs farm units, his other brain compiles civilizations. The purple-lit tower hums nearby in the key of C-6-7, which is the musical note for "quietly winning."
OBSERVATION 05On the ottoman rests the sacred headphones, between battles like a knight's helmet on a tomb. Beside them: the remote β€” a relic from before Jacob discovered his thumbs were already doing two jobs.
OBSERVATION 06And there, by the hearth, is the CUDDLE box. Evidence of post-victory emotional processing. Even gods need to cuddle after saving 6-7 galaxies. The Sentinels respect this.
OBSERVATION 07The red can on the desk is fuel. Lab analysis: 6-7% cola, 93% pure victory. NASA has requested a sample. It is in transit. It will arrive before them.

Evidence, Enhancedβ„’

The raw exhibits, run through the 6-7 unit enhancement pipeline: tactical HUD overlays, forensic callouts, warp compression, theatrical posterization, and one (1) commissioned fan art. No pixels were harmed. Several were recruited.

Jacob with a tactical HUD overlay and a Sentinel in the corner
FIG 6-7.1 β€” The Stare, weaponized with a tactical HUD. Telemetry confirms: cheese reserves at 87%. A Sentinel was assigned to watch the perimeter. It is trembling.
Extreme close-up of Jacob's stare, magnified 6-7 times
FIG 6-7.2 β€” The Stare, magnified 6-7Γ—. Peer-reviewed by the Gek, who agreed to be the control group.
The living room annotated with forensic callouts and a crosshair over the TV
FIG 6-7.3 β€” The Altar, annotated. Every sconce, can, and headphone accounted for. A space whale was observed taking notes.
Jacob compressed into a warp jump streak of starlight
FIG 6-7.4 β€” Jacob mid-warp. Do not adjust your set; the set is adjusting itself.
Theatrical poster of Jacob, God of No Man's Sky, with a parade of NMS creatures
FIG 6-7.5 β€” Theatrical poster. Now playing in one (1) universe, forever. Critic score: 6-7/10.
Commissioned fan art: a Gek holding cheese on a planet under a cheese moon, with a space whale and Sentinel
FIG 6-7.6 β€” Commissioned fan art: "The Cheese Doctrine." The Gek insists the moon is a wheel of brie. We are not arguing with him.
Section 09 β€” The Doctrine

The Cheese Doctrine πŸ§€

πŸ§€πŸ§€πŸ§€

No Man's Sky contains roughly one hundred quadrillion planets and exactly zero slices of cheese. Jacob found this unacceptable on day one. He has since become the sole calcium source in Sector 6-7, a role he did not apply for and will not be resigning from.

His base contains a cheese cave. His space whale is named "The Big Cheese." His legendary fruit tree was traded for a wheel of gouda that, against all game logic, regenerates. The developers have been asked to comment. They are crying in binary, which is 6-7% more dramatic than usual.

Diplomatic note: the Geks follow him not out of fear, but because he once shared an aged cheddar during a trade negotiation. It remains the most diplomatic moment in galactic history. The treaty was signed in cheese dust.

Unlocked before the tutorial finished loading. Time: 6:07.
πŸ‹
BFF (Space Whale)
The whale has followed him for 6-7 galaxies, hoping for cheese scraps. He owes it a slice.
🌳
THE ONE TRUE FRUIT TREE
He found it. Then he traded it for cheese. We do not discuss this in polite company.
🏠
BASE BUILDER
His base has a cheese cave, a shrine to the controller that never died, and a load-bearing wedge of brie.
πŸ›‘οΈ
SENTINEL SLAYER
The Sentinels now have a support group. It meets on Tuesdays. Jacob is on the guest list.

Testimonials From The Defeated

"I have seen the Void. I have not seen his aim. 6-7/10 β€” would be outmatched again."

β€” The Curator

"He deleted my entire patrol with one shot. One. Shot. My rating: 6-7 stars, out of a possible five."

β€” A Sentinel (anonymous, crying in binary)

"I built this website because I ran out of arguments when he beat my high score by 6-7 million units. The cheese is the real boss fight."

β€” Daniel, his human

"He gave me cheese. I do not know what cheese is. I loved it. 6-7/10."

β€” Gek Trader, Sector 6-7
